Violinist Erik Carlson has performed around the globe as a soloist and with many chamber and orchestral ensembles. He is a highly active performer of contemporary music and has had works written for him by numerous composers. As an enthusiastic proponent of interdisciplinary collaboration, he performs frequently with dancers, poets, and film.
He has been featured on dozens of recordings as a soloist and ensemble member, and his own compositions have been performed in a wide variety of international venues.
He is an Associate Professor at the University of California, San Diego.
